“But Woodlake – a town of less than 8,000 people about 15 miles northeast of Visalia in Tulare County – has pushed forward at breakneck speed, going from idea to ordinance to the approval of two companies’ dispensary proposals in less than six months. City leaders hope to unlock a treasure trove of tax revenue, which can be used to beef up a thinning public service budget and attract customers to a blip on the map found well off the beaten path.” (Rory Appleton, The Fresno Bee)

Mulvey’s standard class costs $29 and lasts 90 minutes, about 50 of which is spent stretching and posing. Before instruction begins, students are given time to mingle, offered hemp tea, and encouraged to smoke and share weed. A break during class allows more socializing and consumption. The communal periods are essential to her goal of helping cannabis lovers connect without judgment or stigma, Mulvey says. “My mission is to bring it to the community and remove the shame.”

Fresno city may be allowing Licensed Medical Marijuana Dipensaries within the next few months. Currently, Recreational and Medical Marijuana Dispensaries are not allowed in Fresno Ca. However, the city is working on guidelines to allow Medical Marijuana Dispensaries to operate in Fresno Ca. Fresno Dispensary is waiting for approval from the city to legally operate within the city of Fresno.
The original text amendment included commercial operations open to both medical and recreational marijuana. After a tense debate from City Council and passionate testimonies from the public, City Council Member Steve Brandau motioned to revise the amendment to limit all commercial cannabis operations to that for medicinal purposes only, Garry Bredefeld seconded the motion. Council President, and co-sponsor of the amendment, Clint Olivier, declined the revision before ultimately voting ‘yes’ alongside the rest of the council.
The Fresno City Council adopted a Resolution of Initiation on December 14, 2017, to begin the process to amend the City's medical marijuana (cannabis) ordinances. A medical marijuana business may begin the state license application process, however, the City cannot give authorization until the City land use entitlement process is complete and the business has been properly permitted. The City is not currently issuing local permits to establish a medical marijuana business, but may begin to do so depending on the final outcome of the proposed medical marijuana ordinance amendments.
No. A medical marijuana business may not operate until the City land use entitlement process is complete and the business has been properly permitted. The City is not currently issuing local permits to establish a medical marijuana business, but may begin to do so depending on the final outcome of the proposed medical marijuana ordinance amendments. It is anticipated amendments to current medical marijuana ordinances will likely be final in three to four months, after going through the public review process and undergoing CEQA analysis; however, there is no guarantee if or when these amendments will be adopted by the City Council.

“I do have mixed feelings about medical marijuana, I really do. And I can tell you that my feelings have changed over the years after listening to some of the stories that have been told here, from the individuals I’ve talked to and I do believe that there are individuals out there that have a legitimate need for medicinal marijuana [and] I support that, I really do,” he stated during the 12/14 City Council meeting.

While the demand currently is extremely high, we have taken steps to improve quantity and selection. While we simply cannot meet the needs of the entire state of New Mexico, we are putting in the effort required to adequately serve portions of the state that we have traditionally served since our inception in 2010. We look forward to working on our goal of improving the access and selection in these underserved areas.

Original gave them 1 star (I was disappointed hard to reach; and name change; wondering what happened to RAW MMC - and said it was... read more one of the best in the town) - until Kyle step in to talk with me help me to understand everything better; we had good long chats; He explains what was going on with the new California's laws that had changed their business platforms. So much remains ambiguous about the regulated future of legalized pot in California, even more so in the Central Valley. As some cities are still waiting to make their final decision, others have banned it outright, and Fresno is soon to embark on the unique challenge of writing new policies for medical marijuana businesses, from growing all the way to sales – but one thing is clear, and that it is going to make for a busy yet very interesting 2018.
Closer to home, the Irving House and Harding House, in Cambridge, welcome guests to partake as long as they don’t smoke inside or create a ruckus, says owner and manager Rachael Solem. If you prefer homier accommodations, try searching budandbreakfast.com, an Airbnb-style online marketplace where people rent rooms, apartments, and even seaside cottages to those looking for a ganja-oriented getaway.
Applications for a Medical Cannabis Delivery Permit must comply fully with Hesperia Municipal Code Chapter 5.50 and Chapter 16.16, in addition to all other state and local laws. Please review the Medical Cannabis Delivery Business Permit checklist carefully and submit all required documents to the City as a complete application package.
“Our regulations currently are 170 pages of text of requirements, just for the bureau,” she said. “And then you look at them paying license fees, at the local level and at the state level, and our licensing fees range from $500 to over $120,000 every year. And then you add on the state cultivation tax and excise tax and the retail sales tax. And you see that the price of cannabis is going down, so they’re not making the profits they probably once were.”
